Samsung LCD TV Question?
Hey all,
I purchased a 19" Samsung Series 4 lcd tv. I noticed that after I got it all set up and running, there is a horizontal white and black dotted line at the top of the screen that flickers. It is less visible when I change the picture size to 16:9. The line is very visible when it is in widescreen mode and it only occurs when i'm watching cable tv. I tried to adjust the position of the screen so that it would push the flickering bar off the screen but I cannot find a way to do this from the tv menu. I tried calling customer support and they don't know whats wrong. Is this normal and is there anyway to get rid of this?? Thanks all
That line is the subtitle information being sent by the broadcaster, generally it should be hidden above the picture, which is why you might see it only on a specific aspect ratio, it's not a fault of the TV, just a display issue... Generally with these samsungs, you press the menu button, then go to the ADJ menu, then adjust V.Height up, that is how I would do it....
